So, whether you drive a Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Toyota truck or the like, a quality box is just as important if not more important than the JL, Kenwood, Sony, Rockford, MTX, Apine, or Memphis sub woofer you are putting in it. So don't be fooled by sub boxes that look the same on the outside but don't carry the signature feature in quality manufacturing called Quad Lock. Be mindful that a sub box needs to be able to withstand the constant abuse low frequency sound waves produce. Cheap speaker boxes will pound for a couple of weeks but in the long run short cuts in construction will cause air leaks that become a danger to the subwoofer while dramatically reducing performance. |
